MIT Uni. students get hands-on experience in logistics at Tan Cang Cat Lai port
On the morning of May 30, 2023, over 50 students majoring in logistics and supply chain management, and economics, along with MIT Uni. lecturers participated in an exciting field trip to Tan Cang Cat Lai Port (TCCL).
This opportunity allowed MIT University students to observe and connect theoretical knowledge from the classroom to real-life practical applications. Throughout the tour, the students explored five distinct locations. Each location offers a fresh outlook on the vibrant port such as different shipping container colors carrying different meanings, the transportation activities involving workers and machinery, the introduction session sharing insights into the multi-billion-dollar industry, and the development history of TCCL.

At the end of the field trip, a representative from MIT Uni., Mr. Nguyen Van Dung – Dean of the School of Economics, Administration and Law, and Ms. Vu Thi Tam – Deputy General Director of Tan Cang, expressed their gratitude and exchanged souvenirs.

Tan Cang Cat Lai Port, established in 1989, is considered a leading port operator and logistics service provider in Vietnam and is managed by the Saigon Tan Cang Corporation under the Ministry of National Defence.
