Thanh Vy discovered the hair donation network for breast cancer patients through a friend, but little did she know that it would all stem from a personal story that unfolded more than four years ago.

Thanh Vy shared that she used to have a close sister who battle leukemia. She had promised to donate her hair to her sister when it grew long. However, her sister couldn’t wait, so “I kept nurturing my hair until now and decided to donate it on April 19, 2023. It marks the 4th anniversary of her passing.”

Dong Nai Student of Five Merits award for the academic year 2021-2022.

Consolation prize in the ASEAN Study Competition in 2022.

Outstanding performance in student union activities in 2021-2022.

Progressive Youth following the Words of Uncle Ho – Mien Dong Innovative Technology University 2023.

As an academic advisor for Thanh Vy’s class, Mr. Nguyen Nang Quang, Director of the Economic Law program at MIT University, shared, “Vy is a student who can manage to balance both studies and other social activities as shown through her numerous accolades such as Excellence Student award for her academic achievements in 2021-2022,  Dong Nai Students of Five Merits award 2021-2022, outstanding performance in youth union and student union activities 2021-2022 and so on. Besides, Vy is always willing to help and support friends in need at school, which has earned her the admiration of many teachers.

Thanh Vy expressed her desire to inspire young people who are willing to put in the effort and show compassion to help others, ensuring that no one’s life is left behind in unhappiness.“Through my story, I hope that many of you can overcome hesitation, and daringly embark on vibrant endeavors in your twenties. In doing so, we can spread the message of humanity throughout the community,” she said.
